Football supporters from across the nation have voted Sydney FC-s home ground, The Sydney Football Stadium, in the top three for match day experience during the 2010-11 Hyundai A-League season.
In Football Fans Down Under inaugural ‘FFDU Fan Awards- the Sydney Football Stadium has been nominated as a finalist in the category of ‘Football Stadium of the Year for Match day Experience- and is up against AAMI Park in Melbourne and Brisbane-s Suncorp Stadium.
FFDU-s annual awards ceremony, in which football supporters cast a vote over 16 categories in an 8-week period, was created so supporters could embrace and reward the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
Also making the final three in FFDU‘s awards are the Sky Blues passionate fans from The Cove after their website, ‘Sydney FC Unofficial-, was nominated for ‘Australian Supporters Club-Website of the Year’. The Cove will compete for top spot against Melbourne Victory-s ‘Blue & White Brigade- and Melbourne Heart-s ‘Red & White Unite-.
The winners will be announced on June 3rd at FFDU’s award ceremony at Sydney Harbour Marriott.
