Dos Santos makes emotional return from ACL rupture

Indiana Dos Santos has completed her comeback from injury, making her long-awaited return to competitive football after more than 12 months on the sidelines.

The talented teenager came off the bench for Bulls FC Academy in their NPL NSW Women’s clash on the weekend, marking an emotional milestone in her recovery from the ACL injury she suffered while representing the Future Matildas in June last year.

Dos Santos was a mainstay in the Sydney FC starting side and after being called up to the Future Matildas training camp, was struck down with injury.

Dos Santos won the Sydney FC Young Player of the Year in 2024/25

Over the past year, the youngster missed the entire Ninja A-League season and continued her rehab in the gym while her team-mates training at the Sky Park training facility.

Now, after months of hard work behind the scenes, the teenager has taken the next important step in her journey by returning to competitive action.

Dos Santos remains one of the brightest young prospects in Australian football, having already represented her country at youth international level and was recently ranked 17th in the NXGN Top 25 Teenagers in world football.
