The Sky Blues newly appointed captain was surprised by two of his biggest fans, Italian-s Stefania and Alessandro Albini.
However it wasn-t the fact that they-d travelled half way around the world to see him – it was more the fact they had dressed in their wedding outfits to pose for a snap for their wedding album.
“We are big fans of Alessandro Del Piero, we follow him everywhere. Our wedding was very special. All the tables had the stems (flowers) of Juventus and our table had pictures of Alessandro Del Piero. It was only white and black,” said Stefania.
The pair are also now fully inducted into the Sky Blue family having bought two Explorer Memberships for this season.
“We are supporters of Sydney FC as well and Alessandro (Stefania-s husband) is wearing the Sky Blue tie.
“We came in February and will return in February next year to see the team again.”
The couple waited at Sydney FC-s Macquarie University training ground this morning before the World Cup winner appeared and happily posed for a picture with the honeymooners.
“He was surprised and shocked to see us,” laughed Stefania. “But no I don-t think it-s strange.”
