Casio Edifice surprises Powerchair Football Team

Sydney FC Powerchair Football Team receive surprise end of season gifts from Casio Edifice.

Sydney FC’s Powerchair Football Team have each received a pleasant surprise with the awarding of a Casio Edifice watch to congratulate them on completing another season.

Official Timepiece partner of Sydney FC’s Isuzu Ute A-League Men, Casio Edifice donated the nine watches – one each – to the Sydney FC Powerchair Football Team.

The team finished their campaign with a 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets Reserves and were overjoyed to receive their gifts at Sydney FC’s two day Powerchair Football Program.

Head Coach Jason Ryan helped present the watches to the team alongside Sydney FC CEO Adam Santo and The Sydney FC Foundation Chair Jenny Abood.

Ryan described the watches as the perfect end of season gift.

“These Casio Edifice watches are something special that the players can wear to remind them of the friendships they have made and the team they have become,” he said.

“I know they will wear them proudly and I’d really like to thank Casio Edifice for helping deliver this to our players.”

Seppi Mohsenian, Brand Manager – Timepiece for Shriro* was delighted to support. She said “we’re inspired by the spirit of the Sydney FC Powerchair Team and wanted to make a small contribution to help the team celebrate their season.

“We were thrilled to see the participants enjoy their experience & grateful that our watches can act as a memento of their time with the Club.”

Sydney FC Powerchair Footballer Mitchell Albert bid for a Casio Edifice watch in the silent auction at The Sydney FC Foundation Dinner in April but missed out.

He was delighted when he found out he would be receiving one this week.

“I wasn’t sure I’d heard correctly when they said who was receiving the watches,” he said.

“I couldn’t believe it when I realised that the whole team were getting one.

“I couldn’t wait to see it and was glad that I didn’t win the silent auction in the end.

“We are a very lucky team, and I would like to say thank you to Casio Edifice for their generosity.”

The Sydney FC Foundation Chair, Jenny Abood spent the season getting to know the players and was emotional watching the handover.

“Seeing the surprise and adulation on each of the players’ faces was priceless,” she said.

“Having a Sydney FC club partner involved with our Foundation is very special.

“We are grateful for the extended support to all Sydney FC athletes and excited that we were able to introduce a whole new generation to the quality and appeal of Casio Edifice watches.”
