Young Sydney FC starlet Terry Antonis has issued a warning to the Central Coast Mariners ahead of their clash at the Sydney Football Stadium on Saturday night saying – “I feel pretty good right now.”

The 17 year old has been one of the many bright spots in Sydney-s season so far and started the game in Perth last weekend, after 4 games in 8 days in Malaysia.

However after a few days back at home the Young Socceroo says he-s fully refreshed.

“I was a bit buggered on the weekend against Perth but definitely recovered after that so I feel pretty good right now.”

Antonis’ form has been praised by fans and commentators and he says things are going better than expected.

“Yeah definitely, I had a good pre-season and built myself up so see what happens from here.”

The young midfielder missed Sydney-s last home game against Gold Coast United due to his international commitments in the AFC Under 19 Championship qualifiers in Kuala Lumpur.

He also recently trained with the full Socceroos squad having been asked to come along by coach Holger Osieck.

“It was great experience going there for a couple of days and then going overseas to Malaysia for the Young Socceroos was good.

“We played four games over there and won all of them so it was a great experience.”
