Sydney FC Chairman – Scott Barlow
Mr. Scott Barlow is the Managing Director and founder of STRADA. Scott has extensive experience in the finance sector having held positions in mergers and acquisitions, corporate valuations and corporate strategy at a number of leading Australian and international companies, including AMP, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Telstra. Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Tasmania and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. In 2009, Scott was appointed Vice Chairman of the Sydney Football Club.
Director – Michael Crismale
Mr Michael Crismale as a Foundation Shareholder re-joined the Board of Sydney FC in 2012 having been Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer when the Club was launched in 2005 for a number of years. Michael is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has an extensive career and background in corporate accounting, taxation, business strategy, specialising in sport administration, “not for profit” and corporate governance. He is the Executive Chairman and Founder of Matrium Technologies (a leading telecommunications & network solutions retailer), Non-Executive Chairman of Emjay Insurance Brokers (insurance and risk management) and JSA Financial Services (financial planning and investment advice) and an Independent Director of Stage, Inc (an entertainment technology company and creator of virtual platforms for live concerts and events). Michael offers a broad knowledge of sports administration as former Chairman of the Australian Turf Club, a Director of Surf Lifesaving Australia, and through his current roles as an Independent Director of Racing New South Wales and Trustee of the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust.
Director – Han Berger
Han brings decades of global football coaching, technical and management experience that is without parallel in Australia. Berger was the youngest ever person to be Head Coach in the Dutch Eredivisie and proceeded over 637 matches during his time in charge of clubs including FC Utrecht and FC Groningen. Berger will be a director on the Board and will especially advise on all footballing matters concerning Sydney FC. He was recently also appointed Football Director for the board of the KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association).
Director – Jon Sutton
Former Bank of Queensland (BOQ) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Jon Sutton joined Sydney FC in June 2019. Sutton brings with him over 20 years experience in financial services and has extensive retail and business banking experience. Sutton departed BOQ in 2018, having been with the bank for over six years. Previously Sutton was Managing Director at Bankwest and prior to that a senior executive at Commonwealth Bank.
Director – Peter Paradise
Peter Paradise is a founder and director of the corporate law firm Paradise Charnock O’Brien. Peter is one of the most experienced infrastructure lawyers in Australia and has handled the legal and strategic negotiation for some of the most complex and large scale projects both here and overseas. He is a former partner and Head of Projects Asia Pacific for a large global legal firm. Peter represents the club in all legal matters including representing the players at disciplinary hearings. Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), a Bachelor of Business (Accounting Major) and a Master of Business Law. Peter is also passionate about sports law and the growth of football, particularly the women’s game, in Australia.
