Five Facts About the Allianz Stadium

Sydney FC are returning home to the stunning new Allianz Stadium this October and here are five reasons why you should be getting excited!

NUMBER 1: A Next Level Stadium Experience

No expense has been spared in turning Allianz Stadium into Australia’s premier sporting venue with 42,500 seats housed under a roof that keeps in the noise and keeps out the rain. Steep seating angles provide unrivalled views from every seat designed to make you feel part of the action. We’re delighted to say that a Sydney FC Membership now offers an immersive entertainment experience that can’t be beaten.

NUMBER 2: Sydney FC’s great value Memberships

Our Memberships start from less than $24 per match and include access to all 13 A-League Men’s games at the stadium and our standalone A-League Women’s matches. Plus, you can select the items in your free Members pack, grab a selfie with your Sydney FC hero at our annual Members Day and enjoy heaps of other benefits. It’s all part of being a Member of the Sky Blue family as we begin the next chapter in our proud history.

NUMBER 3: Don’t miss a minute of the action

Designed with a 360-degree open concourse inside the venue that provides views of the pitch, you’ll never miss that crucial goal when collecting your food and drinks. And the very best Merivale food and beverage offering means our meal options are tastier than ever.

NUMBER 4: A sweeping roof that floats over the seating bowl

In total, nine cranes were used to install a roof made of 4,000 pieces of steel which would reach 19km in length if laid out end to end. It’s all held together by 32,804 bolts and 42,560 cleats that secure the fabric to the steel. During the building process 70,982 holes were drilled to secure the roof of the iconic stadium.

NUMBER 5: Artwork that takes the breath away.

The seating bowl has been transformed into an elaborate artwork conceived by award-winning Indigenous artist Tony Albert. Created to the theme of ‘Two Worlds Colliding’, each end of the stadium also has different designs symbolising land and water.

Now Sydney FC has a place we are proud to call home and our new sporting amphitheatre will be the perfect backdrop as we chase a record sixth Championship next season.
