Bookings Open After Fixtures Revealed

Sydney FC’s exciting return to the stunning new Allianz Stadium kicks off with a blockbuster opening round clash against Big Blue rivals Melbourne Victory, and their former Manchester United star Nani.

And that’s quickly followed by the highly anticipated return of ex-Sky Blue Milos Ninkovic for an explosive home Sydney Derby clash on Saturday 12 November.

The high-profile games are just two of the 13 fixtures Sydney FC will host at the world class new Allianz Stadium when the season kicks off on October 8.

Steve Corica’s men will face both Victory and the Wanderers twice at home during the Isuzu-UTE A-League 2022-23 campaign.

Head Coach Steve Corica says the huge opening clashes have whetted the appetite for the season.

“The season opener against Victory will be the first chance for our Members to see our new stadium on a matchday, and the atmosphere will be electric,” he said.

“To follow that up with a Sydney Derby right before the World Cup means it’s going to be an incredible time for football.

“It’s an excellent draw with two home games against two of our biggest rivals, and the fixtures all well-spaced to give us every opportunity to perform.

“I think our Members should be very excited.”

In an exciting first month the squad’s Championship credentials will be tested when they travel to Isuzu-UTE A-League 2021-22 Champions Western United in round two for the first away game of the season.

Games at Macarthur and Brisbane also follow before the fiery home Sydney Derby in round 6.

The traditional Australia Day fixture away to Melbourne Victory is penned in while the Sky Blues also face home matches against Central Coast Mariners, Wellington Phoenix, Brisbane Roar, Western United, Perth Glory and Newcastle Jets in the final round.

In total Sydney FC have 13 home matches while 13 will be away from home.

Corica’s men face Western Sydney Wanderers, Melbourne Victory, Western United and Brisbane Roar three times and all the others twice.
