Sydney FC’s School program flourished in Term 1 with a huge number of students taking part in the sporting schools already in 2017.
16 schools and nearly 2600 students are signed up to multi-week programs so far in Term 1, with great coverage across our heartland association areas: Football South Coast, Sutherland, St George, Eastern Suburbs, Manly Warringah, Northern Suburbs, Canterbury, Gladesville Hornsby and Football Wagga Wagga.
Sydney FC Community Football Officer Howard Fondyke said it was great to see large numbers of students enjoy the program.
“Like all of the Sydney FC community programs, we aim to increase children’s participation in football, nurture their lifelong love of football, and get kids active,” he said.
“The Sporting Schools program has engaged the students well and it’s great to see them having fun through playing sport and learning new skills.”
