Our finest footballers in the Police Force attended Sydney FC training this week to get some expert tips.
Police from the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS) attended a Sydney FC training session this week.
Attending the session was part of their preparations for the Australasian Police and Emergency Services games in Hobart in February.
The PORS Bullants, as they-re known, will be heading to Hobart in February, having learnt a few new valuable skills after seeing how the boys from Sydney FC train.
The Bullants would like to thank all the players and coaching staff from Sydney FC for allowing them access to their training.
Oh, and if you-re wondering why they call themselves the Bullants, by their own admission, they have small brains, but are able to lift heavy things.
The team only came together last year, in time to prepare for the New South Wales Police games that were held at Parklea in March this year.
With some players playing their first competitive game of football, the PORS Bullants, as they-re called, finished on top of their group, on the way beating off competition from the Australian Federal Police, and the New South Wales Police representative side.
They went on to beat the NSW Fire Brigade in a penalty shootout, to again meet the NSW Police team in the final. Unfortunately, the Bullants weren-t able to continue their amazing run, finishing with a silver medal.
