In a bid to get as many Sky Blue faithful to the most anticipated Grand Final in the history of the Hyundai A-League, Sydney FC has organised official supporter-s buses that will bring another wave of the club-s fans to Melbourne.
With thousands of Sydneysiders having already booked their spot at Etihad Stadium, many more of the A-League-s best fans will now head South via the Hume Highway.
Departing Central Station at 5am on Saturday morning, fans have begun booking their $80 return trip to Melbourne.
Sydney FC CEO Edwin Lugt said the club has been inundated with fans letting them know they have purchased tickets to the clash.
“We already know several thousand Sydney FC supporters have bought tickets to the Grand Final and now we have another way for them to get to the match and at a much cheaper price,” Lugt said.
“We have some of the most passionate and dedicated fans in world football and any way we can harbour that relationship and show them how important they are to use we will take.
“Our fans have been amazing to the club this season and they have produced again here. There will be a massive contingent of Sydney FC supporters at the game.”
Sydney Departing details:
Buses will depart Central Station at 5am on Saturday 20 March, 2010 from the upper level outside the Country / Interstate train terminal.
Sydney FC representatives will be on hand to organise boarding and travel on the buses.
Travelling time is approximately 11 hours with frequent stops for breakfast and lunch to be taken. There are toilet amenities on the bus.
The following items are prohibited on the bus:
• Alcohol
• Cans of any kind
• Greasy food
Bookings will close on Thursday 18 March at 2pm.
All bookings will be confirmed by phone by Sydney FC before payments are processed. A minimum number of travellers are required for the bus to be confirmed.
Buses will drop supporters off at Etihad Stadium.
Cost is just $80.00 per head RETURN inclusive of transaction fees and GST.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a bus ticket only and is not valid for entry into Etihad Stadium for the match.
