Capping off the most successful season in the history of Sydney FC, Pulsar watches – a global brand owned by the Seiko Watch Corporation – has re-signed a significant sponsorship agreement to continue its partnership and remain Official Timekeeper of the 2009/10 Hyundai A-League Championship winning club.
The sponsorship deal covers the 2010/2011 season and in recognition of Pulsar-s brand appeal across the sexes, the watch company will continue as the front-of-jersey sponsor for Sydney FC-s Champion W-League team and right-sleeve sponsor for the A-League side.
“We are delighted that Pulsar has renewed its sponsorship deal with the club and that they will be part of what is a very exciting time for Sydney FC,” Sky Blues CEO Edwin Lugt said.
“Sydney FC and Pulsar share a strong partnership and we are pleased that we will be working together for another season.”
According to Seiko Australia-s Group Marketing Manager, Stuart Smith the sponsorship deal is a great fit with the Pulsar brand.
“The Pulsar brand is all about active lifestyles and getting out and enjoying yourself and the Sydney FC association really epitomises that. We are thrilled to be involved and plan a long association with the club,” Smith said.
As part of the new agreement Pulsar will include Sydney FC player imagery and branding in its marketing programs across 800 stores Australia wide.
Pulsar-s sponsorship of Sydney FC adds to the Seiko Watch Corporation-s extensive history of supporting sport, with the company enjoying strong links to the Olympic Games, Sailing, and other major sports around the world.
