Sydney FC-s Westfield W-League squad have received a major boost ahead of their International Women-s Club Championship 3rd / 4th placed play off in Kagoshima in Japan tomorrow, with the news one of Australia-s largest producers of hair products, De Lorenzo have signed a deal as the team-s sleeve and shorts sponsor.

The signing adds to Sydney FC-s already burgeoning list of corporate partners in a year when the club has already achieved record figures for sponsorship revenue.

De Lorenzo-s logo will be proudly worn by the girls in their first game back from the tournament in Japan, when they take on Melbourne Victory at Allianz Stadium next Saturday (ko 2.15pm) in a game which will be shown live on Fox Sports.

“We are thrilled to add another well respected company to our list of corporate partners,” said Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata. “De Lorenzo has an excellent reputation for producing quality hair products and we hope we can work together to ensure our relationship will be mutually beneficial.

“Sydney FC now has the most extensive and high quality list of corporate partners in the club-s history which we are looking to add to. It all goes to show the club is on the right track both on and off the field and is in good hands for the future.”

De Lorenzo Director Chris De Lorenzo said: “As Australian owned company De Lorenzo is proud to be associated to with Australian women’s sport. We wish Sydney FC-s Westfield W-League continued success.”

Caltex have recently signed a deal to become the Westfield W-League squad-s front of shirt sponsor as well as the shorts sponsor for the Hyundai A-League side.

Webjet and Destination NSW are already committed to the Hyundai A-League season 2013/14, while Westfield W-League major sponsors JB Metropolitan Distributors are also on board.

St George Bank has become the official Sydney FC Community Partner and today-s announcement follows the recent signings of StarTrack, Nick Scali, Supa IGA / IGA, Beechwood Homes and the Australian Careers Business College as major partners.

Meanwhile the Sydney FC-s Championship winning Westfield W-League squad are training well ahead of their IWCC 3rd placed play-off game against South American Champions Colo Colo from Chile, tomorrow afternoon (ko 1510 AEDT) in Kagoshima.

And Head Coach Alen Stajcic is upbeat following their 3-2 semi-final defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday night.

“We were on top for many portions of the match, especially in the first 20 and last 20 minutes, but as everyone knows if you don’t take your chances you give the opposition the chance to gain momentum,” he said.

“Chelsea virtually scored with their first shot of the game.”

“The main difference in the match was execution. Chelsea created around 7 or 8 good chances and scored three, we created 20 and scored two. So for that reason alone Chelsea deserved the victory more than us.

“However I am proud of the way we fought back and the spirit in the team, but I want Sydney FC to represent not only great fight and team spirit but also great technical players playing modern football.”

Stajcic is happy with preparations for the game against the South American Champions but knows it will be a tough test.

“Against Colo Colo we need to freshen up the squad, as we are the only team here who has had to play three games so it will be a great test of our depth,” he continued.

“Colo Colo played a great technical game the other night against INAC Kobe Leonessa and showed some real class in patches.

“They are South American Champions and will be a difficult opponent for us on such a short turnaround. Hopefully our execution can improve and we can return back to the winners circle.”

Sydney FC’s Summer Pack is available now. This pack includes 3 exciting matches against Central Coast Mariners on January 18, Adelaide United on February 8 and Perth Glory on February 15.
