Sydney FC’s A-League Men’s 2026-27 home match tickets have launched today with the Sky Blues’ blockbuster season-opening Sydney Derby against Western Sydney Wanderers set to headline another huge campaign at Allianz Stadium.
The new season will kick off in spectacular fashion when Sydney FC host their Derby rivals in one of Australian sport’s fiercest rivalries, on Friday 16 October (7.45pm).
A capacity crowd is expected for the opening-night showdown, with supporters encouraged to secure their seats early for a fixture likely to sell out.
Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo said the release of tickets was another sign the new campaign is fast approaching.
“It’s exciting because once the tickets go on sale, you really feel like the season is getting close,” Kisnorbo said.
“We know what a Sydney Derby means to our Members and fans and to everyone at this football club, and to have that as our first game of the season is a fantastic way to begin.
“Tickets for that one are going to go quickly. We want Allianz Stadium full, we want our Members and fans creating an incredible atmosphere and we want to start the season in the best possible way.
“There’s always a huge amount of emotion and energy around a Derby and we can’t wait to experience that on opening night.”
Sydney FC Captain Rhyan Grant has experienced more Sydney Derbies than anyone and believes the combination of an opening-round clash and recent Head Coach changes at both clubs will add another dimension to the contest.
“The atmosphere at a Sydney Derby is the best in Australian sport as far as I’m concerned,” Grant said.
“You can feel the difference during the week, around the city and especially when you walk out at Allianz Stadium.
“To have it as the first game of the season will heighten everything. Both clubs have had changes with their Head Coaches, in particular Wanderers move for our former Head Coach, so I’m sure there will be plenty of feeling and both will want to make a statement straight away.
“Now the tickets are on sale it feels like the countdown has really started. I’d definitely be getting in early for the Derby because I’m sure those tickets are going to go pretty quickly.”
The Derby begins a mouth-watering home schedule, with another Allianz Stadium clash arriving just nine days later when Sydney FC welcome Adelaide United for a family-friendly 3pm Sunday afternoon fixture on 25 October.
One of the A-League’s other great rivalries returns to Sydney on Sunday 6th December, when Melbourne Victory arrive for the latest instalment of the Big Blue, kicking off at 5pm.
The festive period will also provide plenty of opportunities for Sky Blue supporters to enjoy football during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Sydney FC will host local rivals Macarthur FC on Monday 28 December at 7pm, before beginning 2027 at home against Brisbane Roar on Saturday 2 January at 7.40pm.
Another major date on the calendar comes on ANZAC Weekend, when the Sky Blues host Auckland FC at Allianz Stadium on Friday 23 April at 7.40pm.
Tickets for Sydney FC’s A-League Men’s home matches are now available for general sale, with adult tickets starting from just $31.50 for non-Derby fixtures.
Concession tickets start from $25, Juniors from $18, while a Family Ticket for two adults and two children starts from $80.
For the blockbuster Sydney Derby season opener, adult tickets start from $36, concessions from $29 and Juniors from $22.50, with Family Tickets for two adults and two children starting from $90.
With the opening Derby expected to attract a huge crowd, Sky Blues supporters are encouraged to secure their seats early and ensure they are part of a massive opening night at Allianz Stadium.
The only Sydney FC home match not yet available for general sale is the second home Sydney Derby of the season, with tickets for that fixture set to go on sale in late October.
