Tumeth Secures Canadian Switch

Sydney FC Championship winner Tori Tumeth has signed with Canadian club Vancouver Rise for the 2026 Northern Super League season which started this month.

The full back, who was part of the Sky Blues’ 2023-24 Championship win, has arrived in North America after three seasons in Sky Blue.

The 25-year-old fan favourite leaves having built a strong connection with Sydney FC and its Members, admitting to mixed emotions.

“It’s a really exciting opportunity for me, but also a tough one because Sydney FC has been such a huge part of my life over the past few years,” she said.

“I feel like it’s the right time for me to test myself overseas and to push towards international opportunities.

“I want to thank Sydney FC and all of our Members for their incredible support.

“I have always felt such a strong connection with the fans and I’ll carry that with me.”

Sydney FC Head Coach James Slaveski praised Tumeth’s contribution and backed her to succeed abroad.

“Tori has been an outstanding professional during her time with us and a fantastic person to have within the group,” he said.

“She’s worked incredibly hard for everything she’s achieved and fully deserves this opportunity to take her career overseas.

“We wish her nothing but success in this next chapter.”

Tumeth sits 12th on Sydney FC’s all-time appearance list with 70 games for the club.  She was also selected in Sydney FC’s prestigious 20th Anniversary Team.
