Ten Sydney FC players have been named in a variety of age groups for the Australian National Team.
All ten are part of Ante Juric’s Ninja A-League squad and will be gaining valuable match minutes ahead of the new campaign.
AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers
Seven ladies have been named in the Young Matildas squad for their trip to Tajikistan next month for the Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Held in one location in Dushanbe in Tajikistan, the Young Matildas will face the hosts, Palestine & Chinese Taipei in a Group Stage and should they top the group, will book their spot at the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup in Thailand to be held in 2026. If they finish 2nd, the three best runners up from all 8 groups will also progress.
Maddie Caspers, Milly Cassar, Sofia Fante, Skye Halmarick, Amber Luchtmeijer, Rubi Sullivan & Caley Tallon-Henniker make up Sky Blue representatives of the 23-player squad and will head to Central Asia with their first match against the hosts on the 7th of August.

ASEAN Women’s Championship
Tori Tumeth has been called up to the Australian U23’s squad who will travel to Vietnam for the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) Women’s Championship.
The eight team tournament has seen the Green and Gold drawn into Group B where they will face Myanmar, The Philippines & Timor-Leste with the top two teams progressing into the Semi Finals.

They will be facing off against the senior sides of these nations so this will be a good test for the U23 side.

ASEAN U16 Girls Championship
Claire Corbett & Willa Pearson fresh off signing their first contracts with Sydney FC have been named in the U16’s Junior Matildas squad that will travel to Indonesia at the end of August.

The ASEAN U16 Girls’ Championships will be the first time this group of Junior Matildas represent Australia, as well as their first international competition.

They have been named in the extended 33-player squad which will be wittled down to 23 ahead of the tournament where they will face Singapore & Thailand in Group C.
The winners of each group & the best runner up from all three groups will progress through to the Semi Finals of the competition.
