Juric – There’s plenty more to come from Sydney

After starting the season with a tough loss against the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday afternoon, Ante Juric has backed his side to turn it around next weekend.

The Sky Blues had a few chances but failed to convert and were ultimately punished and overall, Juric was disappointed in the performance.

“We always start slow in terms of performance at the start of the season.

“We were quite good in the first half and had some good chances and in the second half we had an excellent one but in all honesty we have three goals away which is not like us,” Juric said.

“But that’s part of life. We will move on and be ready for next week.”

This season, Juric lost a few of his big stars with the departure of Cortnee Vine, Charlotte McLean and Jada Whyman and he believed that his side still need time to gel.

“We’re just not fluent yet with our new players but we will get there, we usually do.

“You can’t forsee the future, but you can forsee the effort you put in week to week and now we will work towards next week’s match,” he said.

“We have a tough little start to the season going away to Brisbane now next week but this match will put us in good stead for that and we’ll be prepared and ready.

“There’s plenty more to come from Sydney. We’re not done yet.”
