The squad is in for the Sydney Derby with a number of changes due to international call ups and suspensions.
Firstly, Robbie Mak will serve his one week suspension for serious unsporting behaviour after his red card against Newcastle Jets last weekend.
Also, Jake Girdwood-Reich has served his one game suspension for the red card against Perth Glory on Wednesday night, however he is unavailable as he will join Jordan Courtney-Perkins in the Olyroos. The Olyroos are shaping up for their AFC U23 Asian Cup which starts next week and they are set to miss at least two matches for the Sky Blues.
Pat Wood, Joe Lacey and Gus Hoefsloot are all still sidelined however it is positive to see Pat and Joe back training on grass and Gus off his crutches.
In their place comes Aaron Gurd who is yet to see minutes after his leg fracture earlier this season, Matthew Scarcella, Zac De Jesus and Academy prospect Lachie Middleton. Middleton has been impressing in the NPL and the midfielder was recently in Germany with the U19’s side that played in the Champions Trophy.
