Robert Mak while representing his country Slovakia, has finished the 2022/23 season with a victory in the UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying Campaign.
Away from home once more, the Sydney FC number 11 started against European pocket nation Liechtenstein. On corner duties, Mak created four chances and had an expected assists tally of 0.62. The sole goal of the game was a Mak corner flick on that was tapped in at the back post.
He had 32 touches on the ball and was accurate with his crosses and long balls along with his passes of which he completed 26/30 in total.
This 1-0 concludes a fantastic season for the 32 year old who made his mark on the Isuzu UTE A-League by winning the Sydney FC Player of the Year and also finding the net 10 times throughout the season.
Mak found a resurgence of form after representing Slovakia in the last international window and he will be looking to repeat the trick when he returns for pre-season with the Australia Cup around the corner.
