“This team is unstoppable” – Nat Tobin

Nat Tobin believes that this could be the season that she and her team-mates get over the Grand Final hoodoo that has plagued them for the last two seasons.

Her side will take on Western United as part of a Doubleheader at Allianz Stadium on the 16th of April with the winner earning a place in the Grand Final a fortnight later.

Having finished at the top of the table, Tobin is ready for the Finals Series.

“When we are on, this team is unstoppable.

“We have great threats up top, midfield is great and our defensive line is the best in the league,” Tobin said.

“We’re an all round great team.”

Tobin lifted the Premiers Plate for the second consecutive year as captain of her Sydney FC side and she looks forward to meeting 2nd place Western United for the third time this season.

“I think we had one of our best performances against Western United and I think we can take great confidence from that.

“We can’t be too overconfident though and we will sit down and look at how we can best take advantage of our good form,” Tobin added.

The 26-year-old experienced heart-break in two previous Grand Finals against Melbourne Victory and this season wants to make amends.

Tobin has lost the last two Liberty A-League Grand Finals

“It’s been over a year now, so I think that old wounds have healed and going with the way we have been playing the last few games we are confident in moving past that.

“We need to focus on the Semi Final against Western United and like I said, you can’t be too confident.

“I’m really looking forward to it though, and bring it on,” the defender concluded.
