Using different techniques to strike the ball in the air
This exercise is designed to allow you to learn different techniques to strike the ball whilst it’s in the air.
Bronze: Use your thigh to cushion the ball, then as the ball lowers use the inside of your foot to strike the ball.
Silver: As the ball lowers use your laces to cushion the ball and then strike the ball using your laces. This technique is used for shooting on goal.
Gold: Take your first touch using your thigh, then cushion the ball with your laces. As the ball hits the ground strike it using your laces. This is what we call a half volley.
