Gus Hoefsloot

Gus Hoefsloot is a Sydney FC academy graduate who was promoted to the first team for the 2023/24 season and signed a scholarship contract for the next few seasons. The highly-rated goalkeeper grew up playing futsal for South Coast Taipans, and the Sky Blues fended off interests from several overseas clubs for his signature. Most of his appearances for Sydney FC have come in the NPL division, with his debut game being the 4–3 win over Sutherland Sharks in April 2022. Hoefsloot has represented Australia Under 16’s in the 2022 AFF U-16 Youth Championship where he made his appearance for the team in a game against Cambodia.
