Gabriel Lacerda

Gabriel Lacerda joined Sydney FC at the start of the 2023/24 season, where he made his debut for the Sky Blues in the 3-1 victory against Melbourne City in the Australia Cup, coming on in the second half. He has gone on to cement his spot at centre back also helping the team lift silverware in the 2023 Australia Cup Final at Allianz Stadium. The Brazilian defender is a playing centre-back from the famous Palmerias academy, and he has also appeared for Figueirense FC and Ceará Sporting Club in his native country. He took up A-League Sydney FC Hall of Fame Terry McFlynn shirt number that hasn’t been worn at the club since his retirement.
