biography-icon Biography

It is fair to say that Andrew Redmayne has exceeded expectations since his move from Western Sydney Wanderers in January 2017. The Gosford-born keeper has performed consistently well since, winning numerous Championships and Premierships with the club, as well as making his Socceroos debut and becoming a regular in Australian national team squads. After a double winning season for Sydney FC in 2019-20, Redmayne also won the A-League Goalkeeper of the Year award two years running. He has also surpassed Clint Bolton for record A-League clean sheets for Sydney FC. Redmayne recently represented his country and was the hero, when he saved two penalties against Peru, sending Australia to the World Cup. He has since become the most capped goalkeeper in Sydney FC history and famously converted the winning penalty in the Australia Cup Round of 32 clash against Central Coast Mariners after 11 kicks each.
