Young Sydney FC midfielder Corey Hollman has signed a two-year contract extension keeping him in Sky Blue until the end of the Isuzu-UTE A-League 2025-26 season.
The 20-year-old has come through every level of the Sky Blues Academy since its inception in 2016 and initially joined the first team squad last season.
An injury disrupted last 12-months has kept him on the sidelines however he has made an impressive return this season, starring in Sydney FC’s run to the Australia Cup Final.
“It has been fantastic to be part of the team throughout pre-season, and I am thankful for the chances I have been given.
“I am really happy to have extended my contract as there is no better place to play football as a young player right now.
“I am learning every day from the excellent coaches and the talented players around me and hungry to win my first piece of silverware for the club.
“It would be great for that to come this Saturday which would cap off a brilliant week for me.”
Hollman made his debut in the Round of 32 win over the Central Coast Mariners in Wollongong and contributed an assist in the Round of 16 defeat of APIA Leichhardt.
Head Coach Steve Corica believes Hollman can play a key role for the club in the years to come.
“Corey is a very good player with a good engine, and he is comfortable on the ball.
“He is also aggressive in the tackle and deserves the extension.
“He has a big future ahead of him and I look forward to watching him improve with every game he plays.
“After sitting out last year he had done well to come back and start every game so far this season.”
Hollman has played four matches in Sky Blue.
He joined the Sydney FC Academy as a 12-year-old. His sister Shay Hollman plays for Sydney FC’s A-League Women’s team.
