Aspiring football stars from across Sydney have been flocking to Sydney FC’s Summer Football Clinics eager to sharpen up on their skills and learn new things about the wonderful game that is football.

Those clinics are being held in a variety of locations including Forestville, Macquarie University, Rozelle, Rockdale, Sutherland and Rose Bay.

Young players develop their fundamental skills such as first touch, passing and shooting, while at the same time making friends and acquiring a passion for the sport of football.

The children of players Adrian Mierzejewski, Bobô and Miloš Ninković all attended the clinics and were said to have had a wonderful time.

“My oldest daughter attended a clinic over three days here at Macquarie and she really enjoyed it,” said Ninković.

“To be honest in Serbia it is not really normal for girls to be playing football but obviously she has been watching me play for a long time now so she loved the opportunity to play.”

“My parents are visiting us and it’s really good that I’m training here at Macquarie while my daughter is also playing football on the pitch next to us,” he said.

“Even after playing for six hours here at Macquarie Park, she gets home and still wants to go out and kick a ball around.  She just loves it.”
