Our Sky Blue starlet Patrick Yazbek has joined a stacked ranking of the top 100 footballers globally under 20 years of age who gained the most playing experience during the first semester of 2022.
He stands among names such as Jude Bellingham, Pablo Gavi, and Eduardo Camavinga of top European clubs.
Yazbek, who recently celebrated his 20th birthday, played 1,502 minutes this season for Sydney FC across the Isuzu Ute A-League Men, FFA Cup and AFC Champions League competitions – just four hundred minutes shy of English star Jude Bellingham, who achieved 1,895 minutes of game time in Borussia Dortmund’s domestic and continental 2021/2022 campaigns.
Yazbek has become a fan favourite in Sky Blue since his signing ten months ago, and scored his first professional goal back in March away to Perth Glory to help Sydney FC to a 2-0 victory.
Yazbek will next take to a football pitch as part of the Australian U23’s squad for the AFC U23 Asian Cup taking place in Uzbekistan from tomorrow night, where the future Socceroos first come up against Kuwait at 11:00pm AEST.
