Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka has underlined the strength of his squad by declaring he has a number of options to replace the injured Nicky Carle against Adelaide United on Thursday night.

Carle has a tight hamstring but there are a number of players lining up for a starting spot.
“There is good competition because Mark Bridge is coming back after his injury. He joined us for full training a few days ago so he is fully fit and ready,” said Lavicka.
“He worked very hard to coming back with Craig Duncan and yes he is one of the options.”
The Czech coach may wish to turn to young midfielder Terry Antonis who is also returning from injury.
“Terry is working hard. He has had a problem with his achilles but now he has started full training.
“The only problem is he didn-t play the game for a long period now so he needs maybe some more practice in training but yeah he is another option.”
Lavicka could also look to Young Socceroo Rhyan Grant after his excellent second half substitute display against the Newcastle Jets last Saturday, while Scott Jamieson is also pushing for a recall.
The game will be the first for new Adelaide coach John Kosmina, who returns to A-League football for the first time since leaving the coaching role at Sydney FC in 2009.
It-s a fact Sydney-s current coach is well aware of.
“It-ll be interesting game for both sides because John Kosmina used to work for Sydney FC,” he said.
