Westfield W-League Match Preview: Brisbane Roar v Sydney FC

Thumbnail

Sydney FC’s away record in the Westfield W-League will be put to the test when they meet Brisbane Roar on Saturday at Lions Stadim (kick off 6pm AEDT).

Head Coach Ante Juric’s side having won their last four games at home, including a 3-0 success over Western Sydney Wanderers last time out, and will now look to replicate that form on the road.

They have also scored 16 goals in that home streak, with one of those big home wins coming against the Roar, as Caitlin Foord scored a hat-trick in a 5-1 thrashing in December.

This task will likely prove tougher, though, with the Roar sitting second on the table with 17 points – two ahead of Sydney FC – from nine matches.

Roar extended their unbeaten run to four on Friday, withstanding serious Melbourne City pressure before Chioma Ubogagu’s second-half goal gave them a 1-0 win at the Champions.
