Sydney FC-s W-League team are looking forward to Sunday-s Grand Final against Melbourne Victory insisting it will be every bit as inspiring as the A-League clash between the clubs.

It-s a huge weekend for the Sky Blues with a crucial men-s match on Saturday, followed by the women-s final on Sunday afternoon (3.30pm kick off).

“It-s a different week knowing that the Grand Final is this weekend but we-re just taking it like any other week,” said captain Kyah Simon.

“We don-t want to put any extra pressure on ourselves so everything is the same and we-re just going into it like it-s just another game.

Goalkeeper Sham Khamis is backing the game to have the same passion and rivalry as the A-League encounters between the sides.

“It-s always as inspiring as what the men-s games are,” she said.

“There-s been a great history between the two teams and I recommend everyone watch the game.”

Sydney FC arguably have a slight edge over their opponents with Victory having played their semi a day earlier and also having to play through the physical and emotional strain of extra time and penalties against Perth.

“It could give us a little bit of an edge but we can-t really be settled with that,” said Simon. “We need to go out and play our football and treat it like it-s an even playing field.

“The main thing for us is to win the 50/50 battle, gain some momentum and then finish our chances,” added the striker.

Sydney FC are now offering BLOCKBUSTER 4-Packs for the final four home games of the regular season. The massive games include clashes with the reigning A-League Champions Brisbane Roar, the current top two in the standings Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United, plus another Big Blue and the fierce rivalry against Melbourne Victory, all at Allianz Stadium. Prices start from just $90 to see all four games as Sydney reach the exciting run-in to the A-League Finals Series.
