Match Report: Sydney FC have completely overwhelmed the Newcastle Jets away from home, with Al Hassan Toure notching a first career hat-trick and Pat Wood a second consecutive goal.

The Sky Blues arrived in Newcastle seeking to build on a win in the first home fixture against the Central Coast Mariners, and were hoping for a victory away at the McDonald Jones Stadium.

After a period of early Sydney dominance, Newcastle walk away with an early goal through Ben Gibson, who breaks through the line and tucks it away for the lead.

Simply the best.

Sydney FC fight back hard as Campuzano offloads to the run of Al Hassan Toure, who sprints just outside the box, Quispe makes a distracting run to further open up the Newcastle defence making plenty of room for Toure to fire one into the back of the net from just outside the box to draw level.

After a spell of both sides exchanging chances, the half comes to an end. Sydney FC head into the dressing room ready to face the second half and ready to get back on top.

Within six minutes of the re-start a run from Campuzano finds an unmarked Al Hassan Toure who controls and slots one home to give Sydney FC a much deserved lead.

Sydney FC don’t take long to add to their lead as Joe Lolley makes a darting run from halfway to find Al Hassan Toure just outside the box.  He moves into the box and puts it through the legs of Delianov.

Hugs for the backline

A fourth comes when Rhyan Grant takes smashes a cross which the keeper parries into the path of Pat Wood to meet the rebound with a thunderous effort to give the Sky Blues a fourth goal.

The final whistle brings a close to a comprehensive victory for Sydney FC, four incredible goals to see Sydney FC rise to 2nd in the A-League Men table.
