The scenario to become Liberty A-League Premiers

Sydney FC’s win against Perth Glory has put Ante Juric’s side within touching distance of the Premier’s plate. Goals from the captain, Nat Tobin and a brace from Cortnee Vine secured the win.

Cortnee Vine was substituted in the second half shortly after her second goal as a precaution but the Matildas speedster should be fit for this weekend’s match.

Our Women’s side face Adelaide United at Cooper’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 4.05 pm with a win or a draw securing the Premier’s Plate.

However, should Melbourne City fail to win against the Newcastle Jets on Tuesday night, Sydney FC will be crowned Premiers regardless.

As things currently stand in the Liberty A-League.

Midfielder Mackenzie Hawkesby is determined to get the three points against Adelaide on Sunday despite whatever happens in the match against Melbourne and Newcastle on Tuesday night.

Coach Ante Juric watches on during Sydney FC’s 3-1 win over Perth Glory.

“It’s going to be a great game, they are a team on fire and it’s the last game before finals so I’m really looking forward to it.”

Melbourne City takes on Newcastle Jets tonight at 7.05 pm. The match can be streamed on Paramount+.
