Sydney FC’s active supporter group The Cove have issued a passionate rallying cry to the Sky Blue faithful, urging fans to back the club at every match – not just the blockbuster clashes with Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Victory FC.
Following the electric atmosphere of last week’s derby, The Cove are calling on all Sydney FC supporters to harness that same energy as the Sky Blues approach the final two games of the regular season and push towards a top two finish and the Finals Series.
“This is who we are. Last week showed once again what a derby is like,” the group declared on their social media channels.
“Every single one of us knows the feeling. We know there will be atmosphere, we know there will be hatred and we know that both sides will pack their bays.
“Something else we know? If YOU show up week in, week out… you will fuel something special,” the post continued.
“If you think we can’t create the same exact atmosphere for every single game… you’re simply wrong and you’ve already lost the battle.”
The Cove emphasised that while opponents may change, the standard of support should not.
“The teams on the pitch may change every week but that is no reason for the number of fans in the active bays to change too.”
With the season reaching a crucial stage, the group highlighted the vital role supporters play not only for Sydney FC, but for the growth of the competition as a whole.
“This league has its highs and lows, yet here we are. The fans, the heartbeat of this league still trying our best, showing up week in, week out and constantly creating the best atmosphere we can.”
In a direct call to action, The Cove urged all fans to get behind the team in the run home.
“We saw it at the World Cup live sites… we see it at derbies and we see it during finals. It starts with you.
“Buy that membership, buy that ticket, reach out to your mates, and show up for the whole season, not a game.”
The message extends beyond Allianz Stadium, encouraging fans to travel and support the team wherever they play.
“From West Sydney away to Perth Glory at Allianz. Buy your tickets and show up for the full 90. Treat every game like a big game and just watch what happens.”
