The Sydney FC Academy will have teams in the FNSW NPL Youth Tier 1 competition, participating in the U13, U14, U15 and U16 age groups.
In the older age groups, the Sky Blues will compete in the NPL 1 competition following their victory in the 2016 Club Championship. The Sydney FC teams will compete in the NPL 1 U18, U20 and 1st Grade competitions, utilising players aged predominantly between 15 and 20.
