The first team squad will be given the chance to get some more game time before they fly to Japan, while a number of the National Youth League squad will also get the opportunity to impress.
The Sky Blues will be without Foxtel A-League All Stars selections Brett Emerton, Pedj Bojic and Rhyan Grant, while injury absentees Yairo Yau (calf), Pascal Bosschaart (heel) and Terry McFlynn (calf) are still out.
Strikers Blake Powell and Corey Gameiro will be available after overcoming injury concerns.
Coach Rado Vidosic will take charge of team affairs while Head Coach Frank Farina completes his AFC Pro Licence course in Canberra, alongside a host of former players including Steve Corica and fellow A-League coach Tony Popovic.
“This will be another good test for us following on from our first game of pre-season against Belmore United last Wednesday,” said Vidosic.
“It-s important our players improve their match fitness ahead of what will be a challenging trip to Japan.
“We-re missing a few of the squad through injury and Foxtel A-League All Stars duty, so this will be an excellent chance for some others to show they understand our philosophy and are progressing well.”
The game will be played at Sydney-s Macquarie University training base and is closed to the public.
