Coming off a last-start defeat, Steve O-Connor-s young-guns were dealt an early blow when the home side claimed the lead after 6 minutes, but that was the only highlight for the Jets who were then blasted out of the contest by the Sky Blues.
By half time Sydney had well and truly reversed the early deficit, with a 35th minute own goal and finishes from rising stars, Chris Payne, Kofi Danning, Rhyan Grant and Sam Munro putting the game completely beyond Newcastle-s reach with 45 minutes still to play.
In the second stanza Brendan Gan and Zach Cairncross continued the onslaught, making it a tough night for the struggling Jets and sending an ominous warning to Sydney-s rivals for the first ever Youth League crown.
The junior Blues will look to build on their winning form when they face off against the Central Coast Mariners in their last outing before the Grand Final at 5pm next Saturday at Pluim Park, near Gosford.
