Five first team and one Academy player have been named in the Young Socceroos squad who will be heading to Japan just prior to Christmas for the SBS Cup.
Nicko Alfaro, Marin France, Jordan Graoroski, Joe Lacey, Mathias Macallister & Tyler Williams have been named in the Australian U20’s side who will be taking on Spain U20’s, Japanese domestic side Shizuoka Prefecture & the Japanese U20’s side.
Having won the AFC U20 Asian Cup earlier this year, Head Coach Richard Garcia has introduced 13 debutants to the side and will hand Joe Lacey, Mathias Macallister, Marin France & Jordan Graoroski their first taste of Australian national team representative honours.
They will miss Sydney FC’s clash with Newcastle Jets on the 20th of December before returning in time for the clash with Auckland at Leichhardt Oval on the 27th.
