Sydney FC’s Liberty A-League match against Melbourne Victory on Tuesday 25th January at AAMI Park has been postponed as a result of COVID-19 cases within the Melbourne Victory team.
Victory’s Women’s football department confirmed the positive COVID-19 cases via either RAT or PCR testing and all players, coaches and staff with positive results are
now in isolation and following the relevant health directives.
No Sydney FC Women’s player has tested positive for COVID-19 and the squad is ready to face Melbourne City at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium tomorrow (kick off 5.05pm).
Sydney FC’s Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s match against Melbourne Victory which is scheduled for AAMI Park next week on Tuesday 25th January is unaffected.
A date for the re-arranged Liberty A-League match will be worked through with the clubs and the APL and announced as soon as possible.
