Sydney FC have unveiled their brand new 2025/26 third kit – “Jacaranda” – a striking design that channels the vibrancy of Sydney in the springtime and celebrates Sydney FC’s ‘We Are Sydney’ motto.
It’s a bold alternate kit that takes inspiration from Sydney’s botanicals and pays homage to the city’s iconic Royal Botanic Garden and the famous Jacaranda trees that burst into bloom each year, transforming Sydney into a sea of purple.
Their annual arrival coincides perfectly with the springtime start to the A-Leagues season and the Sky Blues’ Men will wear the jerseys for the first time in this weekend’s home clash with Macarthur FC at Leichhardt Oval (3pm).
Sydney FC Captain Rhyan Grant said the Jacaranda kit captures the essence of Sydney and will stand out as one of the most eye-catching designs in the club’s history.
“It’s a really unique look — something totally different that I think will get a lot of attention,” Grant said.

“It genuinely feels like it represents Sydney in spring and I’ll be proud to wear it this weekend at home to Macarthur.
“I think our fans are going to love seeing it out on the pitch.”
Sydney FC Women’s Captain Natalie Tobin agreed, saying the new design is unlike anything the Sky Blues have worn before.
“It’s really cool — we’ve never had anything like this before,” Tobin said.
“It’s so different to what we’ve worn in the past, and I think it’s going to look amazing out on the field.
“The colours really stand out and it definitely feels like something special for this season.”
As the official apparel partner of Sydney FC, the design process was led by Under Armour who is in their 7th season of designing the club kits.
Senior Designer Director at Under Armour’s Global HQ Josh Richardson said: “The home kit usually nods to the city’s landmarks, but with the alternate kit we wanted to dig a little deeper — to create something bold, expressive, and unexpected.

“The club played a key role in refining the vision and has been an incredible creative partner,” he said.
“We wanted the kit to capture that same energy and sense of renewal — something that feels uniquely Sydney.
“The beauty of the purple tones that transform the city each spring is paired with a black base that reflects Sydney’s modern edge, and the striking contrast between nature and urban life.
“The print itself is a celebration of New South Wales flora, blending Jacarandas with native Grevillea, Wattle, and Bottlebrush motifs. Each element was first hand-painted before being digitally scanned and incorporated into the fabric — turning the kit into a wearable piece of art.”
The Jacaranda kit will make its debut this Sunday at Leichhardt Oval when the Sky Blues Men take on Macarthur FC in a 3pm Isuzu UTE A-League kick-off.
Sydney FC’s Women’s team will wear the kit for the first time one week later, on Saturday 15th November, when they face Perth Glory, also at 3pm at Leichhardt Oval.
Fans can purchase the new Jacaranda kit and as well as the Jacaranda casual wear now from the Sydney FC Online Shop and from the merchandise van on game day.
