Sydney FC will travel north to the Gold Coast this month for a six day training camp as preparations ramp up ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season.

It will be the third year in a row the squad has travelled to Queensland in preseason for the camp, as Head Coach Steve Corica looks to ensure the squad are in peak condition ahead of their season opener away to Adelaide United.

Running from Friday 10 August and to Thursday 16 August, the training camp is proudly supported by Gold Coast City Council.

With six training sessions planned, the players will work on all aspects of their game in a high intensity environment sure to bring out the best in the Sky Blues’ squad.

Sydney FC Head Coach Steve Corica said the camp will hold the team in good stead for the upcoming season.

“These camps are always a very important part of our preseason and always prove beneficial for the season ahead,” Corica said.

“This is the perfect opportunity to get the squad away into a team environment and really gel and form the relationships needed to be the successful team Sydney FC is.

“I’m looking forward to taking charge of my first camp after attending the previous two as assistant, and I’m very grateful to Gold Coast City Council for their support.”

Sydney FC kick off their Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season away to Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium on Friday 19 October (kick off 7:50pm AEST).
