Sydney FC Surpass 10,000 Liberty A-League Pass Memberships

Liberty A-League Champions and Premiers Sydney FC have reached a new Membership milestone for the Liberty A-League Pass, setting not only a new club record, but also an A-League record.

The Sky Blues have surpassed 10,000 Liberty A-League Pass memberships for under 16 year-olds.

Sydney FC’s Membership base continues to grow at a constant pace, and the club won’t be stopping now with a new five game Membership pack for Women’s games at Leichhardt Oval – the Leichhardt 5 – released in time for Christmas.

More than 2,200 people have also signed up for the regular Liberty A-League Membership which is a Sydney FC Women’s record as well.

The new record has increased the club’s previous Women’s Membership number by more than 900 per cent plus the Liberty A-League Pass, while also helping achieve record crowds during their 2023/2024 Liberty A-League campaign.

During their opening match of the season, the Sky Blues defeated the Western Sydney Wanderers 2-0 with a Liberty A-League record crowd of nearly 12,000 attendees.

The reigning Premiers have harnessed the impeccable success of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023, and newly appointed Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Mark Aubrey hopes to see this positive outreach continue and skyrocket the women’s game to new heights.

“Our Memberships are continuing to grow at an incredible pace,” he said.

“We are very pleased to see that we are breaking records and that our Members are increasing as our 2023/2024 campaign progresses.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our fantastic squad and our coaching staff who give it their all to put on a show for our Members and fans each week.

“However our work is nowhere near finished and we want women’s football to grow even larger, so we encourage anyone who enjoyed the latest FIFA Women’s World Cup to continue supporting football and sign up for a Membership.

“We’d love to see even more people heading to enjoy our games at Leichhardt Oval in the coming months.”

Despite an ACL injury putting her on the sideline for this year, Captain Nat Tobin couldn’t be more grateful for the support of Sky Blue Members and fans.

“The support from our Sky Blue fan base has been incredible,” she said.

“Their ongoing support has been a crucial part of our success.

“Without the fans and Members, we wouldn’t have the opportunity to do what we do each week.

“I know the girls are desperate to bring home that back-to-back Championship for them.

“We would love to see as many people on board possible and take on this challenge together.”
