Sydney FC smash Membership record

Sydney FC has smashed its club Membership record reaching over 17,000 Members for the first time in its 18-year history.

The Sky Blues beat the previous record of 16,968 Members in the 2018-19 season, setting a new mark of 17,296 Members with half of the A-Leagues season remaining.

Chief Executive Adam Santo paid tribute to the Sky Blues fans.

“It’s a phenomenal achievement in our first season back at Allianz Stadium and it proves we have the best and most loyal Members in the country,” he said.

“They’ve stayed with us after four tough seasons of Covid hit displacement and we’ve brought in new Members to return in an even stronger position.

“They are the backbone of our club and their importance in driving our on-field success cannot be underestimated.

“We strive to ensure our Members receive the best possible value and access to our club and our great new stadium.

“I’d encourage others to become a Member as it’s the best way to make a difference.”

Sydney FC are averaging the highest home crowds in the Isuzu-UTE A-League Men this season, totaling over 111,000 fans at an average of 18,546 from their six home matches.

Men’s Captain Alex Wilkinson praised the loyalty of Sydney FC’s Members.

“I’d like to thank everyone of our Members for their unwavering support,” he said.

“The past few years have been tough for many people but to see our Members return in record breaking numbers speaks volumes for their passion for our club.

“They give us that extra push when we are on the field and they will be hugely important to us in the remaining games this season.

“We’ve more than half of our home games left so hopefully we can increase that record.”

Three game Memberships are still available for new Members which will secure entry to the Big Blue against Melbourne Victory and Sydney Derby in March.

Sydney FC has smashed the club’s Membership number with 17,296 signing up and still half of the season remaining.

Sydney FC’s Liberty A-League Women’s attendances are in the top two in the competition with 6,703 fans attending at an average of 2,324 from three home games.

Both squads are at home this Saturday 4th February in an Allianz Stadium double header with Sydney FC’s Men taking on Central Coast Mariners (5pm) and the Sky Blues Women meeting Melbourne City (2.20pm).
