Sydney FC Skipper Natalie Tobin Signs New Two Year Deal

Sydney FC Liberty A-League captain and reigning Player Of The Year Natalie Tobin has agreed to a new two year contract which will keep last season’s double-winning skipper at the club until the end of the 2025-26 season.

The 27-year old has been absent for most of this season having sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the opening game, however she is expected to return as fit as ever for the start of the next year’s campaign.

Natalie Tobin becomes Sydney FC’s most decorated women’s player lifting the Championship trophy last season to complete the double.

Tobin is the most decorated Women’s player in Sydney FC history with three Championships and three Premierships to her name and she is looking forward to adding to that.

“It is a really exciting time for women’s football, particularly at Sydney FC, so I am delighted to be playing in Sky Blue for another two seasons,” she said.

“We’ve had so much success recently. I’m determined to see that continue and ensure we create a legacy in Australian women’s football which will never be forgotten.

“I’m am on track with my recovery and can’t wait to be back on the field with the girls. The start of next season can’t come soon enough.”

Sydney FC Liberty A-League Head Coach Ante Juric is pleased to have secured his captain.

“Natalie gives so much to this team and is our leader,” he said.

“Even this season when she hasn’t been on the field she has been helping lead our squad off it.

“Her presence is a key reason for our success over the past few seasons and having her on board for the next two will give us an even greater chance of more silverware.”

Tobin collects her Sydney FC Player Of The Year 2022-23 Award last season.

Tobin is the Sky Blues third highest appearance maker with 101 games under her belt and seven goals in Sky Blue.

As well as winning the Sky Blues Player Of The Year last season, she also won the Sydney FC Members Player Of The Year.
