Sydney FC has completed the signing of exciting young midfielder Madeleine Caspers.
Caspers has been playing for the Football NSW Institute after moving from Northbridge Football Club for the previous seasons.
The 16-year old made her debut for the Commbank Junior Matildas in September of this year against the Philippines in round two of their AFC U-17 women’s Asian Cup qualifying campaign.
She has since played a vital role in her side’s qualification for the upcoming tournament next year.
Caspers signs for Sydney FC in hopes of leaving her mark on the Liberty A-League stage.
“I’m super excited to get the opportunity to sign for this club,” she said.
“It’s every young player’s dream to play in the A-League, and to get to play for such an amazing club with so much success, is truly an honour.
“I can’t wait to get started and contribute however I can to this team.”
Caspers joins the squad straight away for this afternoon’s away fixture against the Newcastle Jets at No.2 Sportsground. She will wear the number 26.
Meanwhile Sydney FC and Jessica Seaman have agreed a mutual termination of the defender’s contract.
Seaman signed a short term deal as defensive cover for the AFC Women’s Club Championship in Uzbekistan and Liberty A-League games against Adelaide United and Melbourne City.
Sydney FC would like to thank Jessica for her service to the club.
