Sydney FC has secured the signing of the A-League Women’s brightest young talent Willa Pearson on a new two-year contract.
The new deal ensures the 15-year-old sensation will remain in Sky Blue until 2028 as she continues her remarkable rise.
She has already established herself as one of the most exciting prospects in the A-League Women competition and a potential Matildas star of the future.
Pearson has enjoyed a record-breaking debut season with Sydney FC, becoming the youngest player in A-Leagues history when she made her first-team debut aged 14 years old.

She also etched her name into the record books by breaking Sam Kerr’s long-standing mark to become the youngest goalscorer in A-Leagues history at 15 years and 51 days.
Despite her young age, the defensive talent has quickly become a regular contributor for the Sky Blues, making 16 appearances for the club this season, including 14 starts, and the one goal.
Pearson is also a member of the CommBank Junior Matildas squad, underlining her status as one of the country’s most promising young players.
The Pymble Ladies College student said she was thrilled to extend her stay with Sydney FC and continue her development with Australia’s most successful club.
“I’m really happy at Sydney FC and I’m enjoying the progress I’m making here,” she said.
“It’s hugely exciting to know I’ll be staying with the club for the next two years. This environment is helping me develop every day and I’m grateful for the support from the coaches and my teammates.
“I hope to keep learning, improving and contributing in as many ways as I can to help the team.”
Head Coach James Slaveski said the club was delighted to secure Pearson’s future and continue guiding her development.
“Willa has a very exciting future ahead of her and we’re delighted to be able to help shape that here at Sydney FC,” he said.
“She has enormous potential and if she continues to develop and commit herself to learning every day, she can go right to the very top of women’s sport.
“For someone so young to already be performing at this level and breaking records shows the quality she has, but just as importantly she has the attitude and hunger to keep improving.”
Pearson is expected to be part of the Sky Blues squad to face Melbourne Victory at Leichhardt Oval this Saturday evening (5pm).
