Sydney FC has broken its Membership record for the fourth season in a row, the club confirmed today.

The Sky Blues surpassed their Hyundai A-League 2014/15 season record of 11,510 this morning and that number is set to continue to grow with a variety of club Memberships still available for purchase, and the club on track to surpass 12,000 Memberships for the first time ever.

Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata expressed his pleasure at the record number of Sydney FC Members on board for Head Coach Graham Arnold’s second season at the helm.

“Our Members are everything to this club and are a huge part of our Sky Blue family,” Pignata said.

“They are our twelfth man and their support is the reason Arnie’s squad are able to produce the performances they do.”

Year on year the club has seen a 40 per cent increase in women’s Memberships while junior Memberships are also up by 30 per cent giving the crowd even more of a family feel.

The Sky Blues fans also donated more than $3,000 to the newly created Community Memberships scheme which ensures more than 60 Football United kids will get to experience a Sydney FC Membership this season.

“It’s great to see so many new faces as well as returning Members at Allianz Stadium and it’s a joy to see our Sky Blue family continue to grow.

“I’m delighted we are continuing to grow our Membership year on year and we are building a real team culture at Sydney FC.

“I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at Allianz Stadium on Saturday for the Sydney Derby and I hope, through our Members support, we can get the result we all desire.”

Sydney FC take on Western Sydney Wanderers in the first Sydney Derby of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season at Allianz Stadium on Saturday 24 October (kick off 7:30pm).  Less than 2,000 tickets across all parts of the stadium remain as the fixture looks set to record another 40,000 crowd.
