As we fast approach Easter and term one of school comes to a close, Sydney FC is gearing up for another series of action packed adidas School Holiday Clinics at the Macquarie University Sports Fields.
Starting on Monday, 14th April and running until Wednesday, 16th April, Sydney FC-s adidas Holiday Clinics are back and bigger than ever.
Due to popular demand the times have been extended, with the clinics starting at 9am and running until 3pm, allowing the coaches to devote more time to helping the children hone their skills.
Additionally, some of Sydney FC-s Hyundai A-League squad will be present on one day to run a short skills session for each group allowing the children to receive first hand training from professional footballers.
These extensions are added to the original inclusions that each child receives from the holiday clinic which include a training kit (shirts, shorts and socks), a football, a meeting with the Sky Blues players for an exclusive signing session and a free Junior Blues Membership (12 and under).
The school holiday clinics will also take place at SHORE School War Memorial Playing Fields in both weeks of the holidays. For boys and girls in years 7 to 12, the Sydney FC clinic will be held from Tuesday, 15th April to Thursday, 17th April, while for boys and girls in kindergarten to year 6, the clinic will run from Tuesday, 22nd April to Thursday, 24th April.
The SHORE students will be given the opportunity to be coached by some of the Sydney FC players, while 2013/14 Championship winning Foxtel National Youth League Coach Steve Corica will cast his eye over the Year 7 to 12 group on one of the days, hoping to spot potential future Sky Blues.
As always, former Socceroo and ex-Sydney FC midfielder Paul Reid will lead the clinics assisted by experienced coaching staff.
The vision for the clinics is “to provide confidence and encourage both boys and girls of all abilities to have fun while playing football. Sydney FC will promote the importance of respect and teamwork, whilst focusing on developing and improving their individual skills such as striking the ball, first touch, 1 v 1 and running/dribbling with the ball.”
With record numbers attending the January adidas School Holiday Clinics, Sydney FC are looking forward to seeing everyone at both venues this April to have fun and continue with their football development.
The clinics are priced at $320 inc GST. Places will fill up fast, so register your child online today. For more information email paulr@sydneyfc.com or call 02 8314 5100.
