Match Report: Sydney FC has played out an entertaining 0-0 with Perth Glory at the Sam Kerr Football Centre in Western Australia.

The Sky Blues started the better of the two sides with Lowry, Ulkekul and Tanner all having shots saved early on.

Goalkeeper Heather Hinz was called into action during the remainder of the first half saving some long range efforts while Cassar managed to keep one off the line.

In the second half Tanner came close to opening the deadlock but had her shot tipped over within ten minutes of the break, before Hinz was at it again twice making superb saves within the space of two minutes with 15 minutes remaining.

The Sky Blues came close to securing the crucial three points with Luchtmeijer and Hawkesby having efforts cleared off the goal-line while Ulkekul also had a strike saved in the dying minutes.

Sydney FC remain in 10th place with the Sydney Derby ahead on Saturday.

Hinz made some good saves again for a seventh clean sheet of the season for Sydney FC.

What They Said: Sydney FC Head Coach Ante Juric: “We were excellent tonight and very unfortunate not to get the three points.

“Our effort and desire was fantastic and we played sone great football.

“We are working hard to get ourselves up the ladder and with performances like this, I am confident we will start our move up sooner than later.

“With that we need to capitalise on our good recent performances with goals and wins.

“Our attacking has improved in terms of domination and chances, but we need to convert these chances moving forward.  Our defence on the other hand has been impeccable.

“We look forward to WSW this weekend. A big game for the team and club.”

Midfielder Hana Lowry: “I think it’s very frustrating, we’ve been playing well every game and we’ve been building and creating chances but we haven’t been able to put them away.

“We aren’t converting but we’ve another game on Saturday so we have to just keep building and focus on putting the chances away.

“The last three of four games have been really good, and we just have to take what we are doing well.

“We need to keep building the consistency and chemistry within the team. The players have the quality to get the results we just need to get them.

“It feels very special coming home as I feel a lot of love for the club [Perth Glory] and having my family here is extremely special.”
