Sydney FC is delighted to announce that its partnership with St Pius X College has been extended for another year following a period of successful collaboration between the two organisations which have opened the doors of opportunity for students.
The ongoing alliance between Sydney FC and St Pius X College has continued to deepen ties between elite football development and education, giving students access to professional-level training, experiences, and pathways while fostering a lifelong connection with the game.
Throughout the past year, students at St Pius X College have benefited from a variety of football-focused initiatives delivered in partnership with Sydney FC. These have included elite morning training sessions, integrated football sessions within PDHPE curriculum, core weekly skills development opportunities, & multiple excursion opportunities, providing students with tailored opportunities to refine their technique, tactical understanding and overall love for football. The program has seen over 600+ students engage in football activities.
A standout moment from the partnership this year has been the signing of Year 7 student, Christian Castorina, to the Sydney FC Academy for the 2026-27 season. Christian’s commitment to excellence, technical ability and leadership on the field has seen him progress through the College’s development programs earning recognition from Sydney FC’s coaches. Christian’s signing with the Academy is a testament to the pathways created through this partnership.
