Sydney FC ready for new look Macarthur FC

Sydney FC open their home campaign against Macarthur Bulls FC and this weekend’s opposition have a new look compared to last season.

It has set the stage for a fascinating clash on Saturday night at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium and Steve Corica’s side will be fired up to get the win in front of the home fans.

Ante Milicic will have almost an entirely unrecognizable team compared to the last time Sydney FC faced them.

Out for the Bulls this season are the likes of Mark Milligan, Ivan Franjic, Milislav Popovic, Loic Puyo, Benat, Markel Susaeta, Matt Derbyshire, Denis Genreau and Adam Federichi.

Milicic’s new look team is highlighted by the arrival of Ulisis Davila who has been outstanding for the Wellington Phoenix in recent seasons.

Tomi Juric, Craig Noone and Al Hassan Toure arrive to add versatility up front in the final third while Jordan Mutch and former Sydney FC player Daniel De Silva arrive to beef up the midfield.

Ulisis Davila is a big inclusion for the Bulls this season

Former Western United goalkeeper Filip Kurto comes to cover for Adam Federici who announced his retirement from football in October.

Steve Corica’s side will have to be wary of Macarthur and how they line up given the amount of new faces at the club. Sydney FC were treated to a glimpse over the weekend when Macarthur FC played out a 1-1 draw against the Wellington Phoenix in Round One of the A-League season.

Charles M’Mombwa and Jordan Mutch will most likely anchor the midfield for the visitors with Ulisis Davila slotting into the playmaking role similar to how Milos Ninkovic operates for Sydney FC. Lachlan Rose started up front for Macarthur over the weekend, however it remains to be seen when Tomi Juric returns to the side. Milicic has Al Hassan Toure at his disposal and could look to utilise the former Adelaide United man up front.

The match is sure to be an intriguing one so don’t miss out on the action this Saturday night at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
